Jayson A. Hymes, MD, MPH, FACPM, FASAM Is the Medical Director of Luxe Recovert. Previously he was the Medical Director of Conservative Care Specialists Medical Group, Inc. He is a graduate of Transylvania University, the University of Louisville School Of Medicine, and the Harvard School of Public Health. He completed his post graduate training at Harvard Medical School and the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, and Addiction Medicine at the Brentwood VA Hospital in Los Angeles, he is a member of the American Board of Pain Medicine and the American Board of Addiction Medicine. Dr. Hymes is also a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, a Fellow of the American College of Pain Medicine, a Qualified Medical Evaluator, a Medical Review Officer (Stage I), and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine at The University Of Southern California.

Dr. Hymes began his career as an Assistant Professor at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He was then recruited to relocate to southern California, and established the Pain Management Center at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, in Los Angeles. He then founded Conservative Care Specialists Medical Group of Beverly Hills in 1990, as the first private multi specialty Pain clinic in southern California. This was sold to a large medical group in 2022. He the founded the Addiction Specialists of Southern California. He has exclusively practiced Addiction Medicine and Pain Medicine for over 40 years. A member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, American Academy of Pain Medicine, and a previously a member of the Examination Council of the American Board of Pain Medicine.

Dr. Hymes is, or has been, an advisor to the Medical Board of California, The California Narcotics Officers Association, the Office of National Drug Control Policy (Executive Office of the President), and the Los Angeles Field Division of the Drug Enforcement Administration, as well as a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council of Los Angeles and Orange Counties. He has recently been appointed to the Medical Advisory Board of the GATC corporation, an artificial intelligence development firm in the healthcare space. He is an internationally known and respected clinician and researcher, and is a popular, internationally known speaker in his field.

Dr. Ani Datastanyan is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a master’s and doctorate degree in Marital and Family Therapy. She is licensed to practice in California, Nevada, Utah, Virginia, and Florida. Dr. Datastanyan is known for her compassionate and dedicated approach to helping individuals overcome the shame and stigma associated with substance use and mental health disorders.

She has extensive experience working with individuals struggling with dual diagnosis and co-occurring disorders and is committed to fostering an inclusive and culturally sensitive therapeutic environment. She serves individuals, couples and families from diverse religious, ethnic, and racial backgrounds, as well as members of the LGBTQ+ community. Dr. Datastanyan has expertise in a range of therapeutic techniques.

She is also an EMDR-trained and Brainspotting-trained clinician, allowing her to effectively support individual dealing with addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, and various other mental health disorders. Her integrative approach empowers individuals to heal, build resilience, and regain control of their lives.

Dr. Javaherian specializes in the treatment of psychiatric disorders including Depression, Anxiety, Attention Deficit Disorder and Addiction through medication management. She has years of experience successfully managing detoxification and dual diagnosis disorders at multiple treatment centers.

Katherine Boulware is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#120535) and a Substance Use Disorder Clinical Counselor IV (#6641) in the state of California. She works with adults and couples and has a special passion for working with young adults. Katie has experience working with substance use issues as well as relationship struggles, communication issues, and social anxiety. Some other issues that Katie works with are depression, mood disorders, trauma, and self-harm behaviors.

She is an ally to the LGBTQ+ community and is trans and queer affirming. Katie is sensitive to multicultural needs and has experience working with the elderly community treating seniors who struggle with addiction issues. She is trained in Gestalt therapy which is present focused, collaborative, and helpful in learning to identify emotions and patterns of behavior that lie at the root of addiction. She uses a mindfulness approach that focuses on treating the whole person as an individual.

Katie is also trained in EMDR which works to treat trauma. Katie studied at the University of La Verne in California where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a minor in Psychology as well as a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.

I am passionate about and have been dedicated to working in the field of Social Work for over 17 years. I have held my License in Clinical Social Work for over 7 years. I joined the Luxe Recovery team in May 2022 providing one-on-one individual therapy services. My work in treatment focuses on, but is not limited to: Depression, Anxiety, Domestic Abuse, Trauma/PTSD, Substance Use, Relapse Prevention, Stress, Family Conflict, Self-Esteem, Coping Skills, and Relationship Issues.

I strongly embrace diversity and multiculturalism and wholeheartedly believe in meeting my clients where they are at. I believe in the power of building a strong therapeutic collaboration so that each individual can reach their ultimate personal goals.

Susan Abdelhaq is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with several years of experience working in the field of addiction and mental health. She has extensive experience treating co-occurring disorders and supporting individuals with a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, psychosis, and issues related to incarceration and life transitions.

Susan is passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, validated, and empowered throughout their healing process. My name is Nicole and I am a Registered Nurse in both California and Nevada. I grew up in New York and moved to Lake Tahoe fifteen years ago.I also work as an RN at a psychiatric hospital in Reno, where I do my best on a daily basis to spread a positive message of hope and recovery. I try my best to guide all my patients along their journey so that they can be as successful and happy in their recovery as I am.

Justin is a Family Nurse Practitioner with experience in family medicine, addiction treatment, and infectious diseases. He enjoys working in the outpatient setting for the treatment of substance use disorders as well as dual diagnosis clients. He also works in the treatment of HIV and Hepatitis. Madison Norton earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Southern California, where undergraduate research was focused on addiction sciences. With a strong background in clinical research and a deep understanding of the biological and behavioral factors that influence addiction, Madison brings expertise in evidence-based care and treatment planning. As Director of Utilization Management, Madison applies this knowledge to ensure quality, effective, and patient-centered care while guiding teams in delivering best-practice interventions.

I am a results-driven management professional with over 5 years of leadership experience, including 3 years specializing in logistics and operations. I have successfully overseen teams of up to 200 direct reports, ensuring efficient workflows and high-performance standards. My background also includes hands-on experience in Human Resources and related administrative roles, giving me a well-rounded perspective on team management, organizational development, and operational strategy.

Matt Brennan is a dedicated professional in the field of substance abuse treatment, bringing over four years of hands-on experience across multiple roles, including Behavioral Health Technician, Case Manager, Group Facilitator, and Program Director. His well-rounded expertise allows him to understand and support clients at every stage of their recovery journey.

With over five years of personal sobriety following more than a decade-long battle with addiction, Matt has transformed his lived experience into a powerful tool for connection, empathy, and hope. His journey gives him a unique perspective and an authentic voice that resonates deeply with those seeking recovery.

Driven by a passion to help others break free from the cycle of addiction, Matt is committed to fostering safe, supportive environments where individuals can heal, grow, and rebuild their lives. His leadership and dedication continue to inspire both clients and colleagues.

With four years of experience as a case manager, I specialize in supporting clients throughout their treatment stays by ensuring they receive the necessary resources and assistance for healing. As a SUDCC certified professional, I am dedicated to advocating for individuals with compassion and understanding.

My goal is to create personalized care plans that address each client's unique needs while fostering strong relationships to empower them on their recovery journey. I believe in a holistic approach, guiding clients toward the tools and support they need to thrive.

Dr. Elad refers to his medical philosophy as a “whole body approach.” Rather than chasing the pain Dr. Elad looks at the associated areas to see all the issues that may be related. Dr. Elad firmly believes that in order to achieve the most success its important for the patient to also be a part of the process not just in the office but at home as well which is why he examines his patients’ lifestyles and proposes small adjustments that could improve their overall health.

These changes could range from eating healthier foods to avoiding activities that stress out the mind and body and lifestyle ergonomics. The treatment plans Dr. Elad designs also incorporate exercise, massage, and nutritional counseling when necessary.

Michael Farrell, L.Ac. has been practicing Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine for over 15 years. Graduating from Dungguk Royal University with a Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine, he began his private practice with a focus on both sports medicine and addiction recovery.

Using acupuncture’s extraordinary ability to not only address pain, but to also regulate brain chemistry, reduce cravings, address Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome and address anxiety and depression, he has found great success and great satisfaction in working in the field of addiction.

With over four years of dedicated experience in the field of counseling, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals across all levels of care. My journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, which has provided me with a strong foundation in understanding the complexities of human behavior and development.

As a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), I am deeply committed to helping others navigate their paths to recovery. My own experiences with addiction fuel my passion for this work; I believe that everyone deserves a chance to overcome their struggles and reclaim their lives. I approach each client with empathy, respect, and a genuine desire to see them succeed.
